Turkey Marsala Meatballs

Turkey Marsala Meatballs Recipe in a brown bowl

I don’t have a special story for today’s recipe… just had a taste for meatballs and had some ground turkey I needed to use in the fridge!

Meatballs are a great appetizer, but these meatballs are Italian-flavored, so it’s probably best to use these to top your favorite spaghetti or pasta.

The secret to these meatballs is Marsala red cooking wine and cooking the meatballs on high heat first before fully cooking on medium heat so that the texture is hearty but the meatball isn’t dry.

I would pair them with a light red wine like a Pinot Noir with hints of vanilla or oak.
